Explore historic weather
Monthly view
View detailed weather history month by month — temperature, precipitation, and wind. The calendar shows daily measurements for the selected month.
Date, Yearly
Compare a specific date across years. See what the weather was like on May 17th over the last 20 years, or check temperatures on Christmas Eve through the decades.
Weather records (Norway)
See the highest and lowest temperatures ever recorded in Norwegian municipalities and counties. Note: this is a new service and records are not yet available for all areas.
How does it work?
Start by typing a place name. The app uses geocoding to find the location, then searches for the nearest official measurement stations that have the data you are looking for. Measurements are fetched directly from national meteorological sources.
About measurement stations
Official weather stations have recorded temperature, precipitation, wind speed, and more for over 100 years in many countries. The data they collect forms the basis for weather history and climate research.
Stations are found at different altitudes and climate zones — from coastlines to inland areas, from lowlands to mountains.
